Array frormulas in Excel - a powerful tool

If it is possible to apply array formulas in Excel to your data, then it's always quicker to perform your calculations and offers a more elegant solution.
How to implement this feature:

Normally you would multiply each of the number of shares with the the price of the shares
You would do the same multiplication withe rest of the data or use 'autofill'
Then you would 'sum' the individual results to get a total
With 'array' formulas you can achieve this in one step as demonstrated in the Excel training video
