Array frormulas in Excel - a powerful tool
If it is possible to apply array formulas in Excel to your data, then
it's always quicker to perform your calculations and offers a more
elegant solution.
How to implement this feature:
- Normally you would multiply each of the number of shares
with the the price of the shares
- You would do the same multiplication withe rest of the data
or use 'autofill'
- Then you would 'sum' the individual results to get a total
- With 'array' formulas you can achieve this in one step as
demonstrated in the Excel training video
